After experiencing your initial presentation at one of our distribution centres, we thought we were prepared for the impact you'd have on our next group. Again, you far surpassed our expectations.

Before you were introduced, we had our team members fill out a questionnaire giving feedback on how they felt about attending a presentation on diversity, focusing on biases and pre-judging others. Over half the group admitted they did not believe the topic applied to them and were not comfortable discussing their feelings or relationships with others. The behaviors they exhibited while entering the room were probably sufficient to tell us that. Openly grumbling, sitting in the back of the room with arms crossed and eyes rolled back throughout the introduction...that is until YOU walked into the room. Suddenly their backs straightened, eyes popped open, and you could have heard a pin drop in the silence.

You continued to hold their attention while you told your impassioned story. You challenged them, connected with their experiences and engaged them as no one else could. The question and answer portion was as insightful as your presentation and all the more amazing due to this group's participation.

The message you carried and it's impact on us was not a short lived event, it continued to stimulate conversations between people in the days, weeks and months that have passed. We can't thank you enough for making a long lasting impression and helping us to open the communication channels on this important part of our human emotions.
